Hey!

So recently I was talking to my friend Saz about NYX Cosmetics and after seeing countless reviews/hauls on Youtube on NYX I decided it was finally time for me to check out some of their products. I decided I wanted to purchase my products from a UK based company, to avoid the hassle of expensive shipping/coverting prices etc. However, Saz talked me out of it and suggested i got my NYX from Cherry Culture as they sell NYX for much cheaper than any UK website does. I went ahead and ordered a couple of products, I didn't go crazy just incase I didn't like their makeup...however i'm kinda wishing I ordered a bit more!

Heres what I ordered...(sorry about the bad lighting/awful swatches..I was in a rush)

Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Biege

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this lipgloss, the name may be 'beige' but it is most definatley the most gorgeous pink! the consistency is lovely, not thin...not sticky, just the perfect gloss! I'm the a great fan of the taste though...I will definatley be buying more of these glosses, any suggestions on some must have colours?..oh and I got it for $3.75

Round Lipsticks in Indian pink, Narcissus and Fig

The swatches of these are Left to Right: Indian Pink, Narcissus and Fig. They were $1.99 and oh my god, that price is RIDICULOUSLLLLLY AMAZING for such beautiful lipsticks. They are so soft, creamy and moisturising and the colours are brilliant. Narcissus has become my favourite pink lipstick. In my next order I will definatley be buying a back up, along with a tonne of more colours! :)

Round Lip Gloss in Sorbet

I picked up Sorbet for £1.75 and I have to admit..I HATE this gloss, there is nothing wrong with the colour, it is lovely..just the consistency is awful! this gloss reminds me of something i'd get free with a magazine when i was like 12! and it tastes just awful! Big thumbs down from me on this one! but it was so cheap, I can't complain TOO much!

Soft Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo

I had incredibly high hopes for this product after seeing so many rave reviews on the Soft Matte Lip Creams, however I don't know what it is about this product, I just can't love it :( Tokyo is a beautiful colour, there is just something I don't like about it (not sure what it is though..freak) It also feels rather drying on my lips. I admit I haven't given this product much of a chance yet. I will give it some more time and see how I get on! Also, I got this for $4.50

Jumbo Pencil in Milk

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :D (noises of an excited Melissa) I LOVE THIS! Of course for my first purchase from NYX i had to buy a jumbo pencil in Milk! I think pretty much everyone had this product, definatley going to be getting some more in my next order! any suggestions on colours? This was $2.99

Lipliner in Dolly Pink

I haven't used this lipliner much yet but it really is the perfect 'dolly pink' lip liner colour. From what I have gathered so far it seems a little drying! however it is still rather lovely...and what a cute name! this was $1.75 so again, cheap as chips!

Hope that wasn't too boring! comment me with any suggestions on what I should order next, I definatley want to give some of their eye/cheek products a go next!

A Review: Head Kandy Hair Extensions

Hello everyone! So i decided to get right in there with my first REAL post and what better way to kick start my blog than with a topic I am very much in love with - Hair Extensions. I have been buying clip in hair extensions for 5 years and have tried many different brands, the company I am going to review for you today are Head Kandy. Head Kandy are a clip-in hair extension company who provide 100%  remy human hair and have a range of different lengths and colours.

I purchased my extensions from http://www.headkandy.com/ around three months ago and wear them pretty much everyday. Head Kandy offer extensions in Deluxe Full Head Sets, Single Wefts and Quad Wefts. Full Sets come with 10 wefts of hair, originally i was going to purchase a full set but in the past I have never worn sets of extensions with more than 4/5 pieces as I don't like the feeling of TONNES of clips all over my head. I then decided to do a bit of research on the "Quad Wefts" which Head Kandy offer. Quad Wefts are four wefts of hair sewn on to a flat mesh and are SUPER thick. I went on to purchase one 20-22" quad and one 20-22" single strip weft. I was incredibly excited when my hair arrived, the hair was GORGEOUSLY thick, silky, smooth, long, like no other clip in extensions I have purchased before. However, after clipping the hair in I felt there was not enough hair to blend in to my own natural hair, so i went ahead and purchased one more quad.

The result?

The extra quad made a great deal of difference. I found the hair to be a teensy bit too long for my liking, so I did trim the hair an inch or so. The clips are incredibly secure and no clips have started to fall off like with some other hair extension brands I have tried. With the hair being remyhir I find that the hair always stays soft even after me putting them through hell and back with constant styling and wearing everyday.

My only complaint about these extensions is that some of the hair has detached itself from one of my quadf wefts which meant I had to sew it back on to the mesh, pretty annoying sure but it can be easily fixed :)

I have washed these extensions maybe 3 or so times and have not seen any difference in the quality of the hair which is also geat.

I must say I do not recommend that anyone purchases the hair the way I did, I would definitley go ahead and just purchase the full set, you will save yourself a lot of hassle and money! :)

Overall, beautiful silky soft, long and thick extensions which can be washed and styled. Oh and my colour was in "Melted Chocolate"  :)
